Member Service Representative I - Burleson
United Cooperative Services has an open position for a Member Service Representative I in our Burleson Member Service Department.
Candidate should have a stable, verifiable work history, with an acceptable MVR. A pre-employment drug and alcohol screen is required. This is a career job with progressive pay and an outstanding benefit package. This non-exempt position starts at $24.09 per hour.

This position directly interacts with members to resolve basic member issues, answer questions about electric/internet service, receives and processes payments, efficiently processes requests such as electric/internet connects, disconnects, meter changes and service changes.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs daily duties and operation functions of front desk/reception area.
Balances cash drawer.
Prepare and process documents for scanning and verification.
Solicits sale of new or additional services and/or products.
Assists System Operations by entering member trouble calls, system outages, general member or technical information pertaining to construction, easements, membership and service applications.
Calculates, understands and administers all applicable rate schedules.

The Member Service Representative I shall be required to perform any other duties assigned to fulfill the objectives of the Cooperative.
EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
Members-Consumers: Responds to requests for service changes, meter exchanges, accepts payments from members and answers questions about their electric/internet service and accounts.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Job Knowledge, Training and Experience: Requires a high school degree or equivalent. A minimum of one year of member service experience in office environment is preferred.
Equipment Operated: Must be able to operate office equipment, personal computers, related software, and telecommunications equipment. Must have a current Texas driver’s license without violations that would prohibit insurability.
Abilities and Skills: Requires basic mathematical and grammatical skills. Requires thorough knowledge of job-related computer applications to consistently perform duties or requirements of the position Must be able to give, receive and analyze information, prepare written materials, and articulate goals and action plans. Must be able to deal with a variety of people in varying situations with tact and diplomacy.
Physical Effort: Must be able to perform all activities listed in the job description with or without reasonable accommodation.
Working Conditions: Requires working indoors and outdoors with some irregular hours. Some travel is required inside and outside the cooperative service area.
